Path ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
Information We Collect
Local Storage Data
We store the following data locally on your device:
- Your language preference (English or Bahasa Malaysia)
- Your theme preference (dark or light mode)
- Your reading progress (episodes completed)
- Your Tafakkur reflections (personal journal entries)
- Your notification preferences (reminder time and enabled status)
- Event access status (if you accessed via an event QR code)
This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
No Personal Information
We do not collect:
- Your name or email address (unless you voluntarily join our waitlist)
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Any identifying information
How We Use Your Information
The locally stored data is used solely to:
- Remember your preferences across sessions
- Track your progress through the episodes
- Save your personal reflections for your own review
- Provide a personalized experience
Data Storage & Security
All your data is stored locally on your device using standard browser localStorage. We do not have access to this data. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, this data will be deleted.
For waitlist signups, email addresses are stored securely on Cloudflare's infrastructure and are used only to notify you about Path updates.
Analytics
Path uses a lightweight, privacy-first analytics system to understand how you use the app. Events (such as page views, episode completions, and feature usage) are stored locally on your device and periodically synced to our servers in anonymized form.
We do NOT use any third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no tracking SDKs). All analytics data is collected and processed by us directly.
No advertising or ad-tracking services are used.
Third-Party Services
Path uses the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: For hosting, content delivery, and data storage
- RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchases on iOS (processes only purchase transactions, not personal data)
No personal data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy
Path is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app contains Quranic content appropriate for all ages.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: All your data is visible in the app (Settings, Journal)
- Delete: Use "Clear All Data" in Settings to remove all local data
- Export: Your Tafakkur reflections are stored locally and can be viewed anytime
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
